I did not write the Rule of The Holy Purry Order. Cats and I understand each other without words. Just weight, temperature, distance, the pressure of a paw, the decision to stay, the decision to leave. I trust them more than I trust words. I live with creatures who have spent thousands of years mastering something humans are still trying to learn.We expect emotions to make sense... A cat can scratch you and ask to be held five seconds later, and nothing about it feels false. Only then you do begin to understand the Rule.
